Yesterday we traveled into the city so J could validate his papers at the Peace Arch Border, confirming his permanent residency in Canada (yay!). While there we made a quick jaunt over to the Value Village in Langley to do some thrifting. I picked up Ursula K. Le Guin and Virginia Kidd’s “Edges” compilation (actually my second copy, but it’s in better condition), Kate Wilhelm’s Hugo and Locus Award Winning “Where the Late Sweet Birds Sang” (in mint condition!) and later release “Juniper Time”, Jacqueline Carey’s “Kushiel’s Dart”, and Suzy McKee Charnas’ “The Vampire Tapestry” which includes “Unicorn Tapestry”, the 1980 winner of the Nebula for Best Novelette. Pretty good scores.
