After becoming obsessed with the lavender tea lattes from Mad Rona’s here on the island and subsequently becoming to broke to buy one every day I’ve figured out how to make my own.
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil and add 1 bag of earl grey, half a vanilla pod and 1-2 teaspoons of lavender buds (to taste). Add sweetener to taste (I like vanilla cane sugar or agave syrup)
Let simmer for 5 minutes, then add 1.5 cups of vanilla soy milk (or milk if you prefer).
Bring back to a boil and remove from heat before the milk boils over (I mess this step up a LOT haha)
Pour through a fine strainer and enjoy!
