My Mom’s house has a basement filled with old stuff. Artwork, childhood toys, furniture, luggage, and other storage items. It’s been an off-and-on again project to edit out the items by finding them new homes. Namely, mine! This week I pulled some stuff out and brought it to my house. There was a rubbermaid bin of playmobil and several paintings (some too big to fit in the car this trip). Two of the paintings are originals from my father’s first wife, Jeannie Edmonds Hancock, a famous artist in Nova Scotia. And one of those is a portrait of my Dad!
