Once upon a time I had bought myself one of these beautiful Excalibur dehydrators, but then my husband and I split and he took it in the divorce (I doubt it has even been used since then.) The day has finally come when I buy myself a new one! A lovely friend on the island found herself with two, and sold me her spare for an awesome price (better than buying back my old one despite my paying for it in the first place, which seemed to be the only way I could get it returned to me. But I bitterly digress.)

We have been using a smaller one since being on the island, very kindly gifted to use by friends who were moving off island. It has served us well but this one has a greater capacity in addition to having slide out trays which are easier to manage that round stacking ones.

This dehydrator is a thing of beauty!!! 9 trays, colour coded temperature dial, and even a couple of dehydrating guides I haven’t had before. I am very excited about this addition to the kitchen arsenal, get ready for raw and dehydrated recipes all up in your face. ❤

Sigh. It’s just so nice.
