For a number of months last year I had a monthly subscription to Cult Cosmetics, a vegan nail polish company run by women for women out of California. Eventually I had more nail polish than I could handle and cancelled it, but still enjoyed the idea of a monthly subscription to a beauty box. I just learned about Petit Vour and everything about it seemed right up my alley so I decided to give it a try!
My first box arrived this week with 4 all vegan products to try out; dry shampoo powder, beauty balm, essential oil spray, and a lip gloss.
So what is Petit Vour? From their website:
PETIT VOUR is the luxury vegan destination for the decidedly fashionable, inspired by the finer things and curated for the modern, ethical woman. With a deep love for animals, and a knack for seeking the finest, Petit Vour brings you the crème de la cruelty-free. In spring of 2013, we curated our very first beauty box, filled with little luxuries, offering a taste of cruelty-free to our small membership. We’ve since grown quite a bit, but our values remain the same. Our mission since the idea came to life was to bring two worlds together: luxury and progressive values. That’s quite a cocktail, don’t you agree? Challenging as it may be to sift through the clutter, we are proud to say there are indeed luxury vegan beauty products that overachieve and impress…and you can find them right here. What are you waiting for? It’s time for an upgrade!
The box contains sample sizes of everything with the option to buy the full sized product through their website.
Modern Minerals | EMOTIVE Lotus Wei Infused Lip Gloss
One Love Organics | Healthy Locks Dry Shampoo Powder
Organic Bath Company | Stress Less Body Oil
Pelle Beauty | Luxe Beauty Balm
Here are the full sized products featured in the November box.
The lip gloss is great, it’s slightly sticky but not over the top, and the colour is nice. The dry shampoo powder is the best non-spray powder I have tried, it’s not too thick and the residue on my hair was really minimal following a good brushing in. The body oil smells really great (Bulgarian Lavender) and the tiny spritz bottle is easy to throw into my coat pocket for use in the car or after work (the full sized bottle is obvs bigger). My favourite item of the box is the beauty balm which smells amazing (Tuberose, Rose & Jasmine floral) and absorbs completely into the skin without leaving any greasy residue. No wonder a full sized product is $65!
Overall I’m pretty excited about this subscription and I’ll continue to post about the boxes I receive.
