Book Haul #12

Books books books. I can’t stop with the books! I’m trying to keep up with my book clubs this year after taking a bit of a break from “forced” reading last year. We’ve got some great selections in both the F-word and FABClub groups, and I’ve managed to get copies of most of them so far.

Recent titles I’ve picked up:

Gold Fame Citrus by Claire Vaye Watkins (August 2016 selection for FABClub)

The Sex Myth by Rachel Hills

What You Really Really Want by Jaclyn Friedman

Girls and Sex by Peggy Orenstein

The First Person and Other Stories by Ali Smith (I recently read Hotel World for my newly formed NOprah Book Club – just me and a friend so far and we both want to avoid anything with Oprah’s name on it – and really enjoyed it, so when I saw this title at Value Village I had to grab it)

The Witches: Salem 1692 by Stacy Schiff (May 2016 selection for FABClub)

Pink Steam by Dodie Bellamy (this author is next up for the NOprah Book Club)

When the Sick Rule the World by Dodie Bellamy (this author is next up for the NOprah Book Club)

My Life on the Road by Gloria Steinem (Emma Watson chose this as the first selection of her wildly popular feminist book club on Goodreads – all the new copies I’ve found have been priced at $35 (!!!!) but I found this one for $5!)

The Twelve Tribes of Hattie by Ayana Mathis

Woman by Natalie Angier

The Complete Book of Dreams and Dreaming by Pamela Hall (For the Dream Group I meet with monthly)

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me by Mindy Kaling (I’ve already listened to the audio book version of this and liked it)

Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling (I’ve also already listened to the audio book version of this)

Yes, Please by Amy Poehler (and this one too)

Soil Sisters by Lisa Kivirist (A review copy sent to me by the publisher. Funny story, the info came to me in an email from the Homestead Bloggers network and I assumed the book would be coming from rural America somewhere, but when I contacted the publisher it turned out they are actually right here on Gabriola. Blew my mind a little haha)
