Growing Succulents

08_29_2016_14

Succulents. I love them! They require very little care which is probably why I have done so well, plus they are super easy to split into new plants. One of the plants got bumped when I repotted it and a leaf fell off. Instead of throwing it away I just laid it on the surface of the dirt in another planter and lo-and-behold… new succulent! I first learned of this trick when having dinner at a friend’s house; he snipped a whole handful of stems off his jade plant and said they are impossible to kill. I took them home, left them sitting on the table for a long while, then threw them into some dirt, and they just kept on living. Pretty neat. Here’s hoping they grow into big beautiful succulents that can be split into more little babies ❀
