On our way to Vietnam we took a sea plane from Nanaimo to the airport in Richmond (it makes the commute to Vancouver 30 minutes rather than 4 hours by ferry.) Previously when I took Harbour Air it was to go to work in Vancouver so I flew from Nanaimo to Coal Harbour (downtown) and over the north side of Gabriola. The flight to Richmond, however, flies over the south end of Gabriola which means I could see my house this time! It’s tucked right into the trees and the black exterior makes it hard to spot, but I recognized the neighbouring houses and spied our little abode hidden between them. Neat.
I am totally afraid of heights but I enjoy these pictures!!!
It’s weird flying just high enough that you can still see things… I feel like it’s almost worse than flights where all you can see is clouds
