Top 10 Tuesday: Favourite Fiction

11_29_2016_01.jpg

I’m running a little late, but here’s my Top 10 Tuesday for this week! It has been a really insane few weeks for me. Like, off the charts. 2 weeks ago I was on the other side of the world in Vietnam enjoying the heat and organized chaos and having noodles for every meal… I came back feeling ready to face the world. But then first day back at work I was involved in a critical incident that completely side-swiped me and I am admittedly taking it really hard. As a result I booked off my shifts following the incident and was back at home trying to relax again. I had just had a holiday and was feeling good but it was all pretty immediately undone. Ugh! Life! So this week I’m looking to my old favourites for some warm and fuzzy comfort.

In no particular order, and definitely not all my favourites (Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones would be included in a top 20!):

  1. The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
  2. The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
  3. The Bone Doll’s Twin by Lynn Flewelling
  4. Lilith’s Brood by Octavia Butler
  5. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
  6. I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith
  7. Harry Potter (1-7!) by J. K. Rowling
  8. His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman
  9. A Door into Ocean by Joan Slonczewski
  10. Watership Down by Richard Adams

Take care of yourselves!! Life is short <3<3<3
