Presented without much comment, some more photos I have collected of mushrooms seen on the trails near my house. So many!! I’ve identified the ones I’m learning, but nothing is 100% ❤
^ Hygrocybe miniata (red waxy caps)
^ Possible Sulphur tufts or it’s edible lookalike Hypholoma capnoides. Not sure.
^ Possible Pleurocybella porrigens (angel wings)
^ Possibly Marasmiellus candidus
^ Lichenomphalia umbellifera
^ Russula (I did a bite test on this one! Mild, not bitter.)
^ Hygrocybe miniata (red waxy caps)
^ Hypholoma fasciculare (sulphur tufts) or Hypholoma capnoides, not sure.
^ Likely a shaggy parasol
^ lichen (not actually a mushroom!)
^ Amanita, possibly pantherina

^ A type of conk
^ Hypomyces lactifluorum (Lobster, likely was a russula brevipes)
^ Possible Gomphidius subroseus or Gomphidius oregonensis
^ Tremella mesenterica (witches butter)
^ Possible Gomphidius subroseus or Gomphidius oregonensis. At first I thought russula, but look how the gills come down onto the stem.
^ A type of Helvella (Elfin or Goblin’s Saddle)
^ Pseudohydnum gelatinosum (Cat’s Tongue)
Excellent photos . What guide book are you using?
I have a few different ones, the Timber press Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest book is great, and so is All That the Rain Promises and More 😍

Wow, you’re getting good! That’s amazing that there are so many there! Do you skip on the iffy ones when it comes to eating? Or do you not eat them?
