It’s been a while since I blogged some thrift scores, and I’ve found a lot of neat stuff. Last weekend J and I went to Value Village in Nanaimo together and brought home some dishes, cookbooks, and a really cute red fondue set!
These glass dishes came in a set of 4 for $3.99 and are perfect for our cats. They all eat from the same food area and it tends to get a bit messy. The edges on these dishes are higher so the kibbles won’t get pushed out as much. Plus they are pretty! Win win.
I also got a small set of dishes and bowls (4 plates, 3 bowls) in a really pretty aquamarine colour that worked well with our other colourful dishes. I like that our dish collection has evolved into such a fun set.
I’ve also picked up 6 new vegan and vegetarian cook books; Super Natural Everyday, The Conscious Cook, The Everything Raw Food Recipe Book, The Artful Vegan, The Raw Gourmet, and the Ultimate Mushroom Book. The mushroom book is excellent, it includes both edible and poisonous common mushrooms, and a ton of mushroom recipes. Good score!
The fondue set is pretty adorable, $9.99 including red pot with fork holder piece, 2 sets of 6 colour-coded forks with wooden handles, stand, tray for fuel and the flame snuffer. Not bad!
These are actually work scores and not thrift scores, but I wanted to share them anyways. A Pass the Pigs game (so nostalgic!) and a funny sweater pill remover. We find a lot of funny things at work 🙂
