This is the moment I have been waiting for… the plants are starting to come back! I’ve dreamed of having a huge perennial garden that comes back year after year and it looks like we are well on the way! Lots of plants from last year are coming back, and all the seeds I dumped everywhere are starting to germinate. Weeeee! Here are some shots of the plants that have been enjoying the sunshine and rain. Above we have rosa campanula (Bloody William) and blue cornflower, both plants are native and we transplanted them into this bed from other areas of the yard.
^ Yarrow! My favourite leaf.
^ Cat mint
^ Accidental garlic, it started popping up everywhere.
^ Feverfew, again a native plant that I gathered from other areas of the yard. I love the little white flowers.
^ Some of the seeds have sprouted! I don’t know what this is just yet.
^ Our loveage plants came back!
^ Another mystery plant, this might even be a weed but I’ve left it alone.
^ Bob’s Blue Rhodos. The flowers start lavender then turn bright blue.
^ Zapp!
^ Last year we planted 4 or 5 little raspberry sticks, this year they have completely dominated the bed they were planted in.
^ Tonks and Lupin!
^ We bought a whole flat of poppy starts 2 seasons ago and they all seemed to die off and we never got any poppies. NOT SO this year, they all came back with a vengeance! We have the red variety as well as a large white “Oriental” one. I’m really looking forward to these!
^ Foxglove
^ More seeds and flowers coming up in the bed I filled with Bee Blend seeds.
^ Comfrey
^ Wolfsbane and anemone? I forget, but these ones get tall!
^ More of the poppies!! They looks so strong!
^ Potted Fatsia and some lavenders from last year
^ Honeysuckle vine
^ More clumps of cornflower transplants
^ The sweet woodruff (gallium) we planted in this corner is spreading like crazy! What a great ground cover for a partial sun mostly shaded area. The spurge is also a transplant from last year that got massive.
^ Blueberries, honeyberries, and strawberries
^ Our nicely graveled stairs!
^ A whole whack of crocosmias that came up after we removed the large juniper that was here originally.
^ Look at the spread on those raspberries!
^ The hops plants are also coming up quickly, we managed to split some to get more vines than last year which I am also excited about.
That’s it for now, more pics when things start to blossom ❤

Oh no!! It’s still fairly chilly here but it’s above freezing for sure. We’ve had a couple really sunny days and it made a huge difference!
