Over the winter I picked up a whole bunch of established cacti from an estate sale here on Gabriola. I have only ever had small cacti, but these ones are all quite old (as old as 40 years) and for the first time this spring I got to see a cactus flowering! It happened very quickly, one day there was a small bud on the cactus, then the next day it was a full flower. Another day later and the blossom was gone. So beautiful!
Never seen one before – beautiful!
They are surprisingly beautiful!
Very pretty. Nice work Steff.
Great picture and thanks for sharing. Did you say you had that cactus for 40 years and only one flower? My, thats a long time to wait.
40 years would be a long time to wait! I got the cacti last year so it was my first time seeing it flower, I hope it flowered lots before that! Hah
Beautiful! x
How gorgeous! 😀
I wish the blooms lasted a little longer!!
