Harvesting: Nasturtiums

We planted a small patch of nasturtiums this spring and were really surprised at how huge they got! Check out these progress shots:

Finally it erupted in flowers and we have been drying them regularly for tea blends and nasturtium powder.  They are such a pretty – and tasty! – flower. I also love the shape of the leaves, they look like airborne lily pads.

  1. Oh how I love nasturtiums…as a child I ate them all the time. the whole plant. My mother was ahead of her times and would add them to our salads etc. We tried to grow them at one of our last houses with no success. As I scrolled through my reader I saw them in all their glory on your post. How awesome they look. Tea! I would love to try that.
