It’s time to plant garlic! I’m actually a few days late as the dates to plant fall garlic are usually October 31st or the nearest full moon (which was November 4th), but I’m behind on everything – anyone that claims pregnancy is easy is a dirty rotten liar! Ha.
We got these garlic bulbs from a grower here on Gabriola, and planted them in a planter box that we turned a bunch of local horse manure into a few weeks ago.
I cracked these bulbs and planted them on the 9th of November. Plant the cloves root side down 4”-6” apart and cover with 2” of soil. To protect the cloves over the winter we will also add a layer of mulch on top.
Excited to see what these little cloves can do!
