I have started reading to Mavis and she is acting very interested (we started at the 10 week mark). I’m really hoping she is a reader! I thought it would be fun to share the books we are reading together the same way I share the books I read, so here we have Mave’s Week in Books.
Got any recommendations? 🖤
- If You Were My Bunny by Kate McMullan, illustrated by David McPhail
- Little Bunny’s Busy Day by Sarah Ward
- Sing a Song of Mother Goose by Barbara Reid
- Look at Me by Rachel Fuller
- Little Pookie by Sandra Boynton

- Bear in the Forest
- We All Count: A Book of Cree Numbers by Julie Flett
Great post! My parents started reading to me when I was really young, and always took me to library events, and I’m convinced this has something to do with how much I love reading and learning. I hope she continues to enjoy books 🙂
The joy of reading is one of the best things you could teach your child. I read to mine when they were still tucked safely inside the womb. I read to them daily and when they started to recognize words at just under 3, they were on their way! I’d read them a bed time story and when I thought they were asleep, I’d find them with flashlights reading under their covers. If you teach a child to read, they have the world in the palm of their hands. Mavis will love to read, I just know it! 🙂
