It’s been a quiet few months reading-wise as I was pretty busy with markets for December as well as with recent holiday dinners and the whole power outage thing… not a lot of books are being read around here. I have recently collected a few new ones, however, as gifts and also as some good thrift scores and I’m really looking forward to finding a moment here and there to read.
The stack above was an excellent bundle from VV in Victoria (5th book is free). These books have been on my wish list for a while and it’s always really great to find books you’re hunting for for super cheap.
- Norwegian Wood – Haruki Murakami
- There but for the – Ali Smith
- The Lonely Hearts Hotel – Heather O’Neill
- A Little Life – Hanya Yanagihara
- There There – Tommy Orange
I got some great books as gifts this season!
- Son of a Trickster – Eden Robinson
- Witch: Unleashed Untamed Unapologetic – Lisa Lister
- Witches Sluts Feminists: Conjuring the Sex Positive – Kristin J Sollee
- Dead Girls: Essays on Surviving an American Obsession – Alice Bolin
J bought the three below for me. I’m always impressed with how often he actually listens to me when I ramble on about reading haha. These books look great!!
I’ve been collecting Murakami books from thrift only sources for a while now and I still only have six. They don’t appear very often but when they do it’s very exciting haha.
One last book I picked up recently at VV is Zami: A New Spelling of my Name by Audre Lorde. I’ve always wanted to read this and finally found a copy of my own. 🖤
