I’m a little late to the game, but we got a ton of snow this week. I understand we have nothing to complain about as it’s still around -1 and not -30 like in the rest of Canada… but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m not a fan of snow. Good thing I have nothing to do because I was stuck in the driveway for a few days and couldn’t get anywhere! The road we live on has a fairly savage uphill hairpin turn that is nearly always impossible to get up when it is slippery. The snow plow even got stuck on it 😂
The garden is buried and it always makes me sad to see it like this. I’m sure the snow will be gone fairly soon though then we can begin marking out the lawn for planting this season. Now that we have it fenced we can do whatever we want and the deer won’t destroy everything! I’m pretty excited to have a go at a pumpkin patch and lots of other vegetables and herbs. We have enough space to grow plenty for us to eat and save, and the sooner we get things going the sooner the planters will be established and producing. Here are some shots of the yard from this week. Not much going on ❄️
We did take advantage of a clear day to go out and get Mavis a snow suit to let her explore a bit, but like me she was unimpressed. She looks adorable though!
