I’ve been trying super hard to declutter the house over the last few months, but one thing I keep bringing in is more books. I’ve always allowed myself to buy books, mostly second hand but sometimes new if I can’t find a specific title used, even when I don’t have much money or need for more things. It’s the one collection I keep building, but hey it’s not hoarding if it’s books, right?
Recent thrift scores have included several titles I’ve had on my wish list for a while. It’s always nice to get a new book for 50 cents instead of full price!
Hum if you don’t know the words by Bianca Marais
The Leavers by Lisa Ko
Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward
Overwhelmed by Brigid Schulte
Zoo City by Lauren Beukes
Do Not Say We Have Nothing by Madeleine Thien
Narcopolis by Jeet Thayil
Anil’s Ghost by Michael Ondaatje
Pictured above is my current On Deck pile. It’s getting pretty big but I’ve also knocked out 18 books so far this year so I’m getting through them quickly too which is a nice change from all the Netflix I had been watching 🥰
