The Fox Tarot: Third Printing

This year certainly has been exciting around here as I have been working diligently away at growing my own business. Being self employed allows me to work from home and raise my daughter with my husband on a beautiful gulf island (where in previous years I commuted to Victoria and Vancouver for work which was brutal and would be impossible now.)

Big things happened this year with the second printing of my deck The Fox Tarot selling out, as well as the release of my new deck The Fox Universe Tarot: A Self Care Oracle, which both arrived and virtually sold out within a few months. 2020 will bring reprints of both these projects, first the Universe because it is ready to go, and second an updated version of The Fox Tarot: Pips Edition.

I went back and forth on how I would revise the deck for its third printing; I want to spruce it up but not change the original artwork too much. When I created The Fox Tarot I was on stress leave from work and I really churned it out… less than 6 months to complete the whole thing. I had intended to push out the Universe deck in a similar timeline but because of the birth of my daughter I was forced to slow down and in the end I spent about a year and a half on the designs. The results, I think, are muuuuch more interesting and developed and now looking back on The Fox Tarot I can see how much I rushed it. In the end I have settled on doing a revamp of the existing cards, some of which are great and won’t change but some I really dislike now and I want to redo. I’ve started with a few of the major arcana (High Priestess, Hermit, Justice, Empress). These updated cards will be printed with the Pips as they are for the next printing. I will be doing an illustrated version (The Illustrated Fox Tarot) separately that will feature new artwork for all 78 cards, but more on that later.

Here are some before and afters to show how the cards have been improved. I’m really excited for the reprint!

  1. I love your decks so much. The art work is incredibly inspiring. I am curious if you were able to print your deck in the United States? I have not found an overseas printing source that has such beautiful card stock. Your book is beautifully bound as well. Would you be willing to share where you printed your decks?

    Thank you so much.

    With kind regards,
