It’s IPSY time! June’s bag was super delayed, I only just got it almost halfway through July. As an apology for the long wait IPSY did give me a $6 credit for add ons in the July bag, not terrible. June’s bag was kind of a big one because I got a number of add ons that looked really appealing. The prices of the add ons are so much cheaper than you would pay retail so I figure why not go for it? The design of the bag this month is reeeally cute too, one of my favourites so far.
This month the five items included in the bag were: EVENPRIME Barrier Serum, F.A.R.A.H Lilac Z-Tweeze® Dual-Ended Tweezers, IBY BEAUTY Lush Eyeshadow in Dessert First, TARTE Lash Paint Mascara, and YC COLLECTION Liquid Blush in Fresa. The tweezers are pretty cool, they are dual sized and have great precision. I have the TARTE mascara full size and love it, and was also really interested to try the liquid blush. I have quite a few of these little eyeshadow palettes now, though a handful of them have been sacrificed to the toddler god and ended up ground into the playroom carpet.
As for add on this month, they were what I was most excited about: ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Mini DIPBROW® Gel in Taupe, DECO MIAMI Lucky Charm Nail Art Stickers, IPSY Reusable Cotton Rounds + Mesh Bag + HUDA BEAUTY Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub, PATRICK TA BEAUTY Major Brow Shaping Wax in Clear & Major Brow Dual-Ended Brow Brush, KITSCH Custom Beauty Bundle with hairbrush, zero waste shampoo and conditioner bars, and set of five velvet hair scrunchies. Also free with my bag this month was a sample of INC.REDIBLE COSMETICS Rollerbaby The Original Rollerball Gloss in Rolling Like a Honey.
The brush set is pretty great; the brush itself is made from PLANTS and is biodegradable! The shampoo and conditioner bars smell amazing and are waste free (the paper boxes are recyclable and there are no bottles) which is pretty nice. Hair scrunchies are always helpful as well. I’m also thrilled to have a bag of reusable cotton face pads because why do people even still use disposable ones?? The wash bag is an extra bonus. I’m really into the eyebrow wax and brush, and the little Anastasia dip brow gel (emphasis on little, however.) The nail stickers are super fun and Mavis and I have had fun putting them on our nails already. They recommend using tweezers to apply them and how perfect that there is a nice new set of tweezers also in this bag.
Overall a great bag, but mostly because of the add ons that I chose. The samples that come with the bag are good but are regularly outshined by the products I pick myself that are full sized and much more varied (hairbrushes, waste free products, fun stickers, etc). There were quite a few products in this bag that are cruelty free and/or vegan which also makes me very happy. Looking forward to July’s bag as I have some natural deodorant and earrings included!
